Jax’s Fish ‘n’ Chips

Purpose:  Thank you note.

Dear Jax,

Thank you for coming to Rangikura school to share your opera show.

My most favorite part was when Nemo’s wish came true, I felt really happy for him.  I also like it  when the Famous guy came and said that he likes Adina and Nemo was sad.   I was really, really heartbroken to see Nemo looking sad, and I was nearly about to cry!!.

Thank you and please come back next month or next year,

Yours sincerely

Jipsy.

                                                                   [Picture]
Kia ora, I done this with my whole class, and in the picture is my identity, my art of what I look like , my important mihi, my whanaungatanga and manaakitanga. And it took nine weeks to do this
project. So in the middle is my is my Identity and the one that has koru's is my whanaungatanga and on the left bottom is what Whanaungatanga and Manaakitanga means to me and the one that's  my picture and my face is cut in half and on the other side is the one I sketched. And I like how I done my project. And I feel really happy about what I have done.

So let’s talk about more about my whanaungatanga and manaakitanga so the one’s that have koru's on it is my family on it and you have might have known my whanaungatanga from the other post that I have done for the class. So let’s talk about who is on there , so the one that is big is my dad because he is the one that is the oldest in my family, then the one that is kind of purple is my mum because she likes purple very much, and because she is the second oldest in my family, now it’s my brothers and sisters so the oldest out of my brother and sisters is my sister Lohali, my sister Tima, my brother Pou, my brother Koloi and lucky last me and yes I am the youngest in the family.

And now let’s talk about what whanaungatanga and manaakitanga so if you don’t have manaakitanga then you don’t have whanaungatanga. And it also means a belonging to a group. And being nice to people.

                                              [Duffy book]

Hi this is my two Duffy books that I have chosen so the one on the left is Spirit Animals by Eliot Schrefer, and one on the right is Ice planet Adventure by Geronimo Stilton.

Instructions in how to Weave a Box.

What you need:

  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Sellotape
  • Pen/Pencil

1.Now get your things ready to start.

     2. Once you have done that then measure 10 strips of paper then make it 1 cm wide and 30 cm long
3.Cut out the 10 strips of paper.

4.Now place 5 strips on the mat facing upwards.

5.Grab a strip and weave it through the strips on the mat.
6.Now you have got to repeat step 5 with your 4 strips of paper.

7.Then push them all together to make the box nice and tight .

     8. Once you have done step 6 now get your sellotape and stick the corners of the box.

9.When you have done that then you get your scissors and trim off the long parts to make it kind
of short.

10.Then get your ruler and get your strips and put your ruler inside where you put your sellotape,            and get your ruler and fold your paper until it makes a crease. Then fold it up.

11.Then you can get some black paper and do what you did on step 5 and weave it through the white piece of paper.
